Will and I are getting together tomorrow to do some planning. Pray for us as do, that God will give us wisdom as we meet, that we will know what questions we need to be asking, that we will be prepared for the unexpected. Also, be praying for people to be called to be a part of our leadership team.
Also, I am working on a description of some of the needs we will have for the gathering. Look for a post about that tomorrow or Wednesday.

I am a little new to the whole blog thing, i assume the only way us common folk can post is to respond to a comment. am i correct in this thinking?
i am a "random thought" person. As we were discussing names and goals of the worship service, the best way for me to put my finger on the purpose is thinking like an unchurched person.
it is difficult for me to comprehend not ever going to church, or completely denouncing the church. however, i feel like the best way for us to go about this service is to pick 2-3 friends who do not go to church. what are the reasons they don't go or no longer come back?
lindsay has a co-worker who was divorced in her late 20's. as best i can tell, the church she attended and served faithfully for several years treated her more like the woman caught in adulty in John 8:2-11, and she has not grazed the doors of a church since.
my reason for being here is to get people like her to view churches, christianity, and most importantly God not as a codemning people, but a loving and accepting group.
